Can the handheld gps devices be used in cars?
I was thinking about getting a handheld magellan or garmin gps. I do a lot of backpacking and I wanted to get one but at the same time can I use it in the car. Will it show streets and can I put an address to get to and from and it gives directions just like a car gps. obviously i dont know much about these but could anyone help me out by answering this question. Thanks

- Maybe, cause in my game "Need For Speed: Carbon" they have there GPS in their cars.
- You'll have to lay it on the dashboard so it can get maximum exposure to the sky. Or buy one with a remote antenna. I had mine hooked up to my laptop for a couple of years, it worked well.
