How accurate to the foot are handheld GPS Units?

1. Mine works great, its good to about 3 feet, meaning it will only be off by no more then 3 feet....
2. Depends on how old they are. Older systems using the older methods were accurate to within 10 feet, 6 feet or 3 feet. Newer systems are accurate to 6 inches, 3 inches and 2 inches. For non-military grade equipment. The military equipment uses a different set of frequencies and is much more accurate.
3. there are with in about 1/2 mile of where u are going PS yahoo owner
4. Most are 3 ft to 12 ft.
