GPS

What handheld GPSr would you suggest for close to $100 or under?

I'm looking for a fairly cheap handheld GPSr mostly for geocaching in my area. I want something cheap but something that will work. I've been reading some reviews and a lot of them are very mixed for the lower end products. Two specific one's I've seen are the "Lowrance iFINDER GO2 Handheld GPS Receiver" for about $80 and the "Garmin Etrex H Handheld Monochrome GPS" for about $90. If anyone has used these or knows of possible better ones please let me know what you think. Or if you know something about handheld GPSs that you think I should know, don't be afraid to speak up. Thanks a lot everybody, all help is appreciated.

  1. Go for the Garmin eTrex H for sure. Lowrance units are more difficult to use, and they have a much smaller user community. If you ever have a problem with your Garmin, you will find plenty of people online to help you. Lots more cachers use Garmins than Lowrances. The iFinder series is also very old. The eTrex H just came out last year and uses a newer high-sensitivity receiver, so it will perform better under tree cover than the iFinder or the previous version of the eTrex.
