1. this one is much better. Garmin eTrex Venture HC High-Intensity Color Mapping Handheld GPS. Same company and similar price but more to it and a color screen.
2. If you're thinking of the blue Legend, go for the eTrex Venture HC. It costs about the same and is much more modern. It has more memory (24MB vs 8MB), it uses a USB cable instead of a serial cable, has a color screen, and has a higher sensitivity receiver than the Legend.
