GPS

IF I bought a handheld GPS , do i have to pay something for the service itself?

I am in egypt , does GPS work here?

1. GPS is global. It will work all over the world. Oh, and the service is free.
2. I don't know about Egypt, but my husband just purchased one for when he flies, and it is equipped with auto, air, and sea. We do not have to pay for any kind of service. Now every so often there will be upgrades that we will have to pay for - but those only come now and then.
3. No, GPS is a free service provided by the government for navigation purposes for all types of transportation land, water air etc.

5. Oh yeah. See, the way the GPS works, is it sends a signal to a satellite(hence, the S). By the way, it stands for Global Positioning Satellite.
